Spay & Neuter
Services
One of the best ways to impact the shelter population is by reducing in the number of unwanted litters through spay and neuter.
We are proud to be able to partner with Berrien County Animal Services, The Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan, Animal Aid of Southwestern Michigan, Paws of Hope, Bissell Pet Foundation's Fix the Future, The Humane Society of Elkhart County and ABC Clinic and The Meow Mission to provide free/low/reduced cost spay/neuter services.
Berrien County has no low cost/no cost spay/neuter clinics. Until we are able to build our own clinic, we offer several options where we help fund and/or transport animals to Grand Rapids for Bissell Foundation's Fix the Future or to The Humane Society of Elkhart County. Dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped all in the same day. We also help fund animals via a voucher to ABC Clinic and Meow Mission.
If you have a feral or community cat population, we can help to a limited extent. We DO NOT trap and remove, but can lend traps and carriers to you to bring the cats to us and are building resources around the county to help with trapping cats...we hope to be able to provide more support in the future.

To register interest, please fill out the below form (one per animal needing spay/neuter) with as much information as you can. We will call you with our next available dates. Please note that we have a long list of interested people, so it can take some while for us to get back to you.

Typically, drop off is early in the morning, and pick up is in the evening. Dates and times can be variable depending upon which clinic has room for your pet. Unfortunately, due to size, we have longer wait times for dogs, and may ask you to bring the dog directly to a clinic. Please be flexible with us as all of this is done by volunteers committed to reducing shelter populations.

We are currently providing this service FREE of charge, but we also gladly take donations which will help our funds stretch further. Donations can be made on our DONATE page, or cash when you drop off your pet.
