Founded in 2020, Friends of Berrien County Animal Services (FBCAS) supports the work of Berrien County Animal Services by raising funds to enhance the health and wellbeing of animals in their care.

Reducing the number of unwanted dogs and cats that end up in shelters.

Adoption Sponsorship

Assisting families with adoption fees and medical treatments for dogs and cats adopted from BCAS.

Trap, Neuter, Return

Emergency Medical Care

Many animals come into BCAS with life-threatening but treatable injuries like embedded collars or broken legs.

Rescue Transport

Driving dogs and cats to partner rescues and veterinarians in Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.

Medicine

Prevention and treatment for heartworm, flea and tick, and more.

Behavioral Training

Improving adoptability by providing skilled behavioral trainers, socialization and activities.

Spay & Neuter

FRIENDS is dedicated to reducing the population of unhoused animals in the community. Working with area clinics and spay/neuter programs, FRIENDS sponsors an average of 90 spay / neuter surgeries per month.
